How It Works

Pure Grass-Finished whole, half and quarter details:

We only offer our meat in whole, half or quarter lots (and a special Taster Bundle too). We do not sell cuts by the piece. NEW FOR 2010! We now can ship these ANYWHERE in the U.S. for as low as $9.00/lb. with the shipping included!!! We will also continue our home delivery’s to our normal, local delivery area.

That's right! Pure grass-finished buffalo steaks and roasts, delivered to your door, for less than you would pay for burger at the grocery!

How can we do it for so little money?

It's simple. When you buy from us you are buying direct from the grower AND YOU SAVE. We keep things simple so we can pass the savings on to you. In addition, we’ve combined forces with our sister company, The Buffalo Guys, and can now use their efficient shipping system to ship these direct to your door nationwide!

What does it cost?

Remember: You only pay for what you get!!

Whole animal shipped to your door: $9.00 per pound of packaged meat. Approx. $3600 total. ($1800 deposit)

Half animal shipped to your door: $9.50 per pound of packaged meat. Approx. $1900 total. ($950 deposit)

Quarter animal shipped to your door: $9.75 per pound of packaged meat. Approx. $975 total. ($500 deposit)

Taster Bundle (30 lbs) shipped to your door: $10.75 per pound of packaged meat. $322.50 total. (Full payment at checkout)

Customers in our local, home delivery area can deduct $2.25/lb. (except for the Taster Bundle).

What do I get?

A whole grass finished buffalo consists of about 350-400 lbs. of boneless, packaged meat. This will fit into approx. 8-10 cu. ft. of freezer space. You can expect to get approximately the following cuts and quantities:

  • Tenderloin steaks – approx. 5-7 lbs.
  • Strip loin steaks – approx. 15-18 lbs.
  • Rib loin steaks – approx. 15-18 lbs.
  • Sirloin Steaks – approx. 15-20 lbs.
  • Chuck Roast – approx. 35-45 lbs.
  • Brisket – approx. 3-4 lbs.
  • Back and Short Ribs – approx. 14-16 lbs.
  • Stew Meat – approx. 20 lbs.
  • Ground Burger – approx. 120-140 lbs.
  • Patties – approx. 120-140 lbs.

Halves and quarters will get proportionately less of the above amounts. We sell only wholes, halves or quarters of buffalo so you get a full variety of cuts professionally processed in a USDA inspected plant. The Taster Bundle is a variable mix of steaks, roasts, stew meat, ribs and burgers that will weigh at least 30 lbs.

We can accommodate special cutting instructions on whole animal orders only.

How does it work?

You can order here, right now. Just click on the button to pay your deposit and reserve your meat. We will contact you within a business day or two to give you an idea of when you can expect your meat. You pay approximately half when you order and the other half on the day the order ships and we know the exact weight (The Taster Bundle is a set weight and as such your payment is in full at checkout). We take Visa, Master Card and American Express (and good old cash too for home deliveries to our “local*” area). Order Meat

How are they raised?

These animals have been raised their entire life without ever having grain. Their only feeds have been grass or high-quality natural hay. These are raised to the strict standards set by the U.S.D.A. for grass-fed meat.

Finishing animals on grass only is more difficult and more prone to the verities of nature than offering grain to finish. You can be assured that we only offer you animals that will make for top quality eating. Click here to learn more.

All our buffalo are raised without the use of added hormones. We never allow animals that have been treated with antibiotics or have been fed grain into this supply. Never-ever. They have only eaten grass, salt and natural minerals. We guarantee it! We never feed animal by-products, or any of the vast arrays of chemical based feeds.

These grass-finished animals are out on the range with the main herd from birth until approx. 18 months of age. At that time they are brought into smaller pastures where the grass is the finest quality. After we are certain they are in prime condition, they are scheduled for processing. This method ensures that we only offer you the very best. However, this method takes time and is necessarily seasonal.

We will NOT sell you an animal that is not of the highest quality even if it means we miss a sale. That is how strongly we feel about doing you right.

We do not cut corners!

Our prime season for grass-finished animals is from November through Spring. We recommend that you reserve your animal early in the season or we may be out of stock for the year. Please remember that this takes time and skill and we can’t just whip another one up for you!

Why grass-finished?

When will I get my meat?

We schedule processing and delivery based on need. We keep only a very small amount of processed meat in inventory to be sure that yours is as fresh as possible. When you place your order you will be notified as to the approximate delivery date of your meat. Then, approximately one to two weeks before delivery you will receive a call to arrange the delivery day and time. We make every conceivable effort to accommodate your schedule. Final payment will be processed on shipping day.

Do you have references?

We have scores of satisfied customers. We have been raising buffalo since 1987 and we would be happy to supply you with the name and number of one of our current customers.

What is your delivery area?

NOTE: For orders delivered to the following regular, local delivery areas we will deduct $2.25/lb for the final payment. Approved areas include the Denver and Colorado Springs area, Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado, monthly. Laramie and Cheyenne, Wyoming (normally in April and November only).
